A little background story is required in order for you to understand how dear to my heart this wedding was. I met Katrina + Brady back in 2011 while I was on a a family trip in Punta Cana Dominican Republic. This was around the time that the couple had first started dating. The 3 of us immediately hit it off, and we spent the rest of the week hanging out and soaking up the sun together. Years later, Katrina contacted me and asked if I would be their wedding photographer. I was so happy for them, and absolutely honoured. I couldn’t wait for their big day!
Fastforward to their wedding: August 13th 2016. You may recall that this was the day we had tornado warnings all over Southern Ontario - massive rain storms and some places even lost power. But as luck would have it, the rain held off for this couple’s ceremony and photos, and we completely avoided evacuation. We were able to fully enjoy the sunflowers, the mature trees and everything else that made Dyment’s Farm the perfect country style venue.
Katrina + Brady were perfectly loving and there were so many real emotions flowing during their first look photos. Everyone in their wedding party was such a blast and kept everybody upbeat and laughing.
Thank you to Denise Belanger for being such an amazing second shooter and helping to keep every minute fun. And of course thank you to my friends Katrina + Brady for involving me in such an important milestone.
